RTT for Childhood Trauma
Hypnotherapy for Childhood Trauma
You can know exactly why you are the way you are and still not be able to change it. That is because childhood patterns are not stored in the part of you that understands. They are stored deeper.

Childhood trauma is not always what people picture. It does not have to be a single catastrophic event. It is more often a steady drip of moments where a child learned the world was not safe, that her needs were too much or that love was conditional. Those moments shape the nervous system. They follow you into adulthood as patterns of anxiety, people-pleasing, hypervigilance, low self-worth or relationships that keep repeating.
Talk therapy can give you insight into all of this. Insight is valuable but it does not always change how you feel. The original wiring was laid down before you had words. It needs to be updated at the same level it was formed.
Rapid Transformational Therapy is a trauma-informed approach designed for exactly this. It works gently, without reliving, to update the subconscious meaning of the moments that shaped you.
A note on approach
Rapid Transformational Therapy is at the core of how I work and it is what most of this page is describing. Where a session calls for it I also draw on Clinical Hypnotherapy, Integration Coaching or the Rewind Technique. We talk through the right combination for you in your free discovery call.
How this work helps
RTT uses hypnosis to bring you into a calm, focused state where the subconscious is accessible. From there we locate the specific moments that wired the pattern you are working with. You do not relive them. You observe them with the perspective of the adult you are now.
Once those moments are seen clearly, we update the meaning attached to them. The child receives the message she actually needed at the time. The pattern that has been running ever since loses its fuel.
A bespoke recording reinforces the new wiring for 21 days. Clients often describe feeling lighter, less reactive and able to make different choices in old situations without effort.

Common questions
Will I have to relive my trauma?
No. RTT is designed to be a non-reliving approach. You observe past moments from a calm adult perspective. The work is about updating meaning, not re-experiencing pain.
I do not remember my childhood clearly. Can RTT still help?
Yes. The subconscious holds the relevant information whether or not the conscious mind remembers details. Clients often surface what is needed during the session, even when they thought they had blocked it.
Is one session enough for complex childhood trauma?
It depends on what you are working with. Single-theme issues often resolve in one session. Layered or complex childhood histories may benefit from a multi-session package. We map this out in your discovery call.
Are you trauma-informed?
Yes. Julie is a certified trauma-informed RTT therapist and also trained in the Rewind Technique, a specific evidence-based protocol for traumatic memory.
