For Professionals

Successful at Work, but Still Second-Guessing Yourself?

You can lead a team, make difficult decisions and deliver under pressure. Yet you may still replay conversations, over-prepare for meetings or worry that one mistake will expose you as not good enough.

Does this happen to you at work?

You may know you are capable and still not feel able to trust yourself. Success can bring temporary relief, but the next email, presentation, promotion or difficult conversation quickly becomes another test.

Re-reading an email several times before you can send it
Working longer than necessary because the result never feels good enough
Feeling less confident after a promotion, not more
Replaying meetings and conversations long after they are over
Holding back in rooms where you have earned your place
Putting off visible work because other people will judge the result
Explaining away praise while treating criticism as proof
Changing roles, then finding the same pressure follows you

You understand it. So why does it keep happening?

You may already know that you overthink, people please or set impossible standards for yourself. You may have read the books, hired a coach, changed your routine or talked it through in therapy.

And still, when the stakes rise, you check again, say yes when you mean no or avoid the thing that could make you more visible. Julie's work focuses on why that response still feels necessary rather than giving you another strategy to manage it.

What This Is Not

This is not executive coaching or career strategy.

You probably do not need another system for managing your time, writing better goals or becoming more productive. You already know how to do your job.

This work looks at what happens when you might be judged, disappoint someone, make the wrong decision or become more visible. Those are the moments when perfectionism, imposter feelings, fear of failure and self-doubt tend to take over.

Patterns aren’t who you are. They’re what you learned.

Overthinking, self-doubt and bracing for failure can become ways of trying to prevent criticism, rejection or embarrassment.

After years of checking, over-preparing or proving yourself, those responses can feel like your personality: "I'm just a perfectionist" or "I've always been an anxious person." But a response you learned is not the same as who you are.

Learned patterns can change. Julie works with the response beneath the second-guessing rather than asking you to look confident while the same fear keeps running underneath.
