Addiction and compulsive habits look like a willpower problem from the outside. They are not. They are the subconscious reaching for the only reliable form of relief it has found, even when that relief is costing you everything.

RTT works with the underlying need, not just the behaviour. Once the need is met from inside rather than outside, the pull of the substance or behaviour drops dramatically.
