What RTT Is and How It Works

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)

Rapid Transformational Therapy combines hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy to work with patterns held in the subconscious mind. Julie offers online RTT sessions worldwide via Zoom.

What Rapid Transformational Therapy Is

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a therapeutic method developed by British therapist Marisa Peer. It draws on hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy, combining them into a single structured approach designed to reach the subconscious origin of a pattern rather than work around it.

Julie is one of Marisa Peer's trained RTT therapists. Therapist-level training is a higher certification than RTT practitioner and involves more advanced clinical training through Marisa Peer's institute.

Most of the patterns people bring to therapy — anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, repeating cycles — weren't formed by conscious decision. They were the mind's best attempt to create safety in early experiences. The subconscious recorded them as rules: "this is how I stay safe, loved or in control." Those rules can run quietly for decades, long after they've stopped being accurate.

RTT accesses the subconscious directly through hypnosis. Not to implant suggestions, but to find the original moment a belief was formed, understand why it made sense then and update it. When the root meaning changes, the pattern that grew from it often does too.

How RTT Works

01

Accessing the subconscious

Through guided hypnosis you enter a relaxed, focused state. You stay fully aware throughout. It's not sleep, and you're always in control.

02

Finding the origin

We trace the current pattern back to where it was first formed. Most patterns weren't created by adult logic. They were the mind's best response to an early experience.

03

Updating the meaning

Once you see where a belief came from and why it made sense at the time, its hold loosens. RTT then installs a new, accurate meaning in its place.

04

The 21-day recording

Each session ends with a personalised audio recording. You listen to it for 21 days. The subconscious learns through repetition. The session shifts the belief. The recording makes it last.

What RTT Helps With

RTT is used across a wide range of patterns, behaviours and emotional difficulties. Most come back to the same thing: a belief formed early that the mind is still following.

How RTT Differs From Other Approaches

Talk therapy and CBT work at the conscious level. They help you understand a pattern and build tools to manage it. That's genuinely useful work. But some patterns don't respond to understanding alone because they weren't created by understanding — they were created in moments of emotion, often before the analytical mind was fully developed.

Standard hypnotherapy works with the subconscious but uses suggestion: it plants new ideas directly. RTT takes a different approach. Rather than placing new thoughts over old ones, it traces the pattern to its source and changes the meaning there.

The result is often faster change than approaches that work at the surface level. Not because RTT is magic — because it addresses patterns at the level where they actually live. The questions below explain the method, online sessions and what RTT can help with.

What to Expect

Sessions take place via Zoom. Each one runs around 90 minutes. Most issues are addressed in one to three sessions — not six months of weekly appointments.

Before the session ends, you'll receive a personalised audio recording created from what came up in your session. You listen to it for 21 days. The subconscious learns through repetition. The session creates the shift. The recording embeds it.

The discovery call comes first. It's free, around 20 minutes, and gives us both a chance to talk about what you're working on and whether RTT is likely to help. There's no pressure. If it's not the right fit, I'll say so.
